What is in your kit?
Each kit comes with everything you need to get started!
I was born in the Bouches du Rhône and I spent my childhood between the beautiful forests of Burgundy, my mother's country, and the scrubland of Marcel Pagnol.
When I was little, I wanted to be Snow White , Cinderella, getting lost in wonderland or sometimes knowing how to wiggle my nose like my beloved witch while daydreaming in front of Sarah Kay's illustrations.
As a dreamer, I had long since invented a magical world where I could take refuge at my leisure.
"Then she fell into a long, very long sleep..."
I drew like all children draw, but without knowing that it would become a real passion.
I am self-taught and I started sketching mostly landscapes and still lifes. Drawing was very appealing to me but I was never completely satisfied with my "subjects of study".
One day I sketched a little elf in a landscape and it seemed to me so natural that I continued on this path.
Since then, I have devoted my drawing to all these little characters who accompanied me in my childhood and whom I had so much pleasure in seeing again. I now like to bring them to life on a sheet of paper.
I continued to combine my passion for drawing with the fairy world as well as my passion for certain periods of history.
My inspirations are quite varied but often revolve around the magical or the fantastic since I appreciate the softness of the illustrations of Meredith Dillman or Delphine Gache like the darker designs of Tim Burton or Barbara Canepa.
I have been working in the field of vocational training for adults for 20 years and have been declared freelance illustrator since 2008. I reconcile my time between a very rewarding job, my family life and my passion for drawing.
Keeping a piece of magic and childhood is vital for me.
I'll end with my favorite quote:
"What makes the poet? Isn't it love, the desperate search for the slightest ray of sunshine playing on the parquet floor of a child's room"
My work as an illustrator
I dreamed of my engravings as princely kisses,
a little naive and childish, they speak to your inner child, the one who deep down inside you has never really grown up.
Filled with melancholy, they speak to you of lost worlds, of melodies forever stolen from your childhood.
Sometimes you'll bite into the poison apple, other times a frog will awaken you.
Often, it's little wood fairies who look you deep in the eye and say:
My illustrations are made of different techniques, either in traditional, watercolor, acrylic and colored pencil; either digitally painted in Photoshop. I always try to instill magic and softness in my way of painting, whether traditional or digital.
